The experience of Accord Group’s European office in the Czech Republic: advantages and challenges in the EU market

Cooperation between Ukraine and the Czech Republic did not stop even during the war. For example, a year ago in July 2023, the Ukrainian-Czech Business Forum was held in Kyiv, organized by the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the Embassy of Ukraine in the Czech Republic, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ukraine, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, and the accredited participants included representatives of Accord Group, which had already opened its first foreign branch in Prague.


The need to expand the company’s geography arose primarily due to an increase in the number of requests from relocated companies or those that have decided to move their business partially or completely abroad and wondered how to do it correctly and safely without losing their information assets.


To meet this demand, after all the necessary business research, in early 2023, Accord Group opened its first full-fledged European office in the Czech Republic to provide specialized services to Ukrainian clients abroad in a timely and comprehensive manner.

In Ukraine, Accord Group has been operating in the system integration market since 2012 and has experience in implementing more than 500 projects for well-known international banks, retailers, government organizations and industrial enterprises.


In the Czech Republic, Accord Group’s specialists focused on the following areas.

  • implementation and technical support of contact centres of any size and functionality based on Cisco Contact Center Enterprise (CCE) or Cisco Contact Center Express (UCCX)

  • call recording, quality management, analytics, workforce management based on Eleveo

  • campaign management, agent-based script execution, omnichannel and chatbot, video calls based on Smiddle

  • voice bots (NLU) based on Google Dialog Flow, etc.


First completed projects in the Czech Republic, advantages and challenges in the EU market


As planned, the first clients of Accord Group in the Czech Republic were relocated Ukrainian companies.


Among the largest projects implemented at the time of writing this article is the case of migrating the information assets of a large travel company from Ukraine to the data centre located in Germany. Accord Group’s technical specialists in the Czech Republic not only ensured a correct and fast migration, but also made all the necessary settings and provided further warranty support for the project.


This successful experience allowed the customer company to further deepen cooperation and, in early 2023, lease and set up an additional data centre in Thailand with the help of Accord Group specialists in the Czech Republic.


Another interesting example is the experience of partial relocation of the data centre of one of Ukraine’s largest agricultural holdings to Poland in 2023-2024, which was also supported by the engineering and technical team of our Czech branch.


Today, when the stable operation of the Ukrainian integrator Accord Group in the European system integration market has already been established, we can share the main challenges that we have managed to overcome over almost two years of European experience, which are traditional for any foreign market:


  • an established market characterized by strong customer contacts with local integrators

  • lack of a strong front office in the EU, which slows down the work with new customers
